Christian Service Awards

18 Exceptional 8th Graders Honored with Christian Service Awards Totaling $144,000!

The Catholic Community Foundation's all-volunteer Christian Service Awards (CSA) Committee took great care in reviewing the 98 applications received, interviewing all of the applicants, and selecting these 18 outstanding recipients. The recipients exhibited exceptional community service and are commended for their poise and presentation in their individual interviews.

At the 10th Annual Christian Service Awards Reception held on March 3, 2010, in front of nearly 300 people, each recipient was decorated with a custom St. Katharine Drexel medallion by Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted and presented with a Certificate of Excellence.

As individuals who demonstrate Catholic values and a Christ-centered love for others through service to parish, school and community and their commitment to volunteerism, recipients receive $2,000/year towards their tuition for each of their 4 years at Catholic high school.
